LQRP during robberies
Since returning to the server after around a 2 year gap, I have noticed along with a few others that there seems to be a very LQRP aspect to cop/crim interactions during banks/stores.
When doing what seems any robbery where there will be a small duration of downtime for the negotiators on both sides, I’ve noticed many different things that completely take away from the experience we are trying to get.
Yesterday when I was taken hostage for the vault, I was a homeless person. When the cops arrived, some of them seemed to treat the situation normal, but one specific seemed to treat the situation as if he was just having a normal chat with the hostage takers. I said something slick to the cop, as that was what I was trying to portray with the char, and he laughed and said I’m not helping that guy. Proceeds to walk into the bank with his gun directly in the face of the hostage takers and casually talk about what weapons they have. It didn’t even feel like it was a hostage situation with how they treated it.
While waiting for a fleeca job to become available as another char, we drove around to see if anything was going on, and spotted a bank being robbed. As we spectated from a little bit away, we saw many cops just dancing around outside as if nothing was happening. I understand that it’s a game, and we should try to have fun, but not treating these tense situations at all like they are ruins immersion and kills the atmosphere. These are just a few examples but I come across these types of interactions every time we rob a store/am taken hostage where the hostage takers and cops just act as if they are having a normal conversation and they are friends.
I understand it’s not everyone, but it happens enough to seem to be a large majority.

Regarding this, I feel like the standards have shifted because of some rules.
Rules always push you to be different, creative and create a unique experience. So crims tried silly things to have that in check. The problem is those silly things have become the standards and this is where we are now.
But now, if you decide to do a robbery the serious way, it might be considered "Not giving enough interaction" or "Not giving enough RP to the situation".
I think the community and staff need to make a descision on what the "standard" needs to be :
1) A serious way - For immersion, means that the only discussion taking palce is to talk about the hostage wellbeing, the demands and the time remaining. Also means the hostage is bored af and the cops are just waiting and hearing always the same demands.
2) An interctive way, where you dress up funny, try to make everyone laugh and have a good time, but breaks immersion.
This needs to be decided and explained if any decision needs to be taken

It feels like they all seem comfortable like they know the hostage takers aren't going to shoot because they want the money. Such as the demands as well, if a guy says he wants no air one or no bike cert then give them no bikes or air, They have a weapon pointed to the guy's head and you think you have leverage to tell them that? If anything you'd want the Hostage Taker to be satisfied.
I've noticed the officers just talking about their day like nothings happening or just dancing outside the bank and having a party and a get together. (Not like a guy is being gun pointed and his lives at risk or anything) But like I said the Police are just too comfortable during bank robberies, I've noticed that cops are getting massively egotistical in general when a cop is supposed to remain professional. (Don't get me wrong everyone loves a joke, but there's a time and place for this shit, when someone's being gunpointed I don't think it's the best time to joke on the weapon someone has. Because if someone was roleplaying as someone who isn't all there in the head, they'd shoot the hostage just because the officer wasn't taking their job seriously.)

I can add to this experience too, when i was taken hostage for a truck the cops literally told the hostage taker "whats stopping me from shooting you", as the hostage i had to step in and remind them that my life mattered. Theres no way for me to report the officer as when i asked for their name the police officer that remained on scene played dumb. Another situation that made poor role play for me personally was when i was robbing a convenience store, the officer told us it was triad store (we were all new and didnt know who the hell the triads were) then let a triad member walk up to the store with gun out and tell us to get out of his store. All while we had a hostage on their knees. The NVL of the hostage and everyone else is the situation could of been avoided if the police did their job instead of bending the knee to a gang.

I know what you’re talking about, and I agree that some cops don’t act serious at all on scenes like this.
However, I’d also like to point out that cops are not the only ones causing this issue. How are cops supposed to react when the hostage takers are all dressed up like cows and do nothing but moo while pointing guns in people’s faces? More often than not, the hostage takers are just as silly, if not sillier, than the cops.
If you believe that it’s an issue of LQRP for some people, then it is probably better to make a report.

Maybe it wasn’t worded completely right, but I was also speaking on this. I did only give cop examples but crims are equally as responsible for the issue. I personally try to set the right atmosphere when conducting robberies and I see other people not doing the same

I am in a similar situation where I have been away for some time and recently returned. I noticed the cops take very little seriously, and it really kills the RP. A lot of joking around, making you feel like there is no value to life.
