Gang Property
D8 screws over gangs when buying property.
I understand D8 is working on adjusting the prices and locations after a big natural disaster, but there needs to be more work and input from actual gang members who have to buy these properties.
To begin, turfs are inaccurately marked on the map and need to be adjusted. We are over spending by hundreds of thousands of dollars in an already inflated economy in an area that doesn't even make sense for our gang.
Regardless of the marked areas, it currently costs our gang $530k for a large warehouse and we don't even get to choose where we want it, technically. Our old main warehouse location is now unavailable for warehouse space because it's a "garage space." Realistically, can't every garage be turned into a warehouse and vis versa? We are paying over half a million for a location that is so inconvenient because it's our turf and we are limited to those properties.
Not only are we not able to get the locations we need so we can effectively defend and have a safe place where we all can wake up at (that isn't in the most inconvenient spot possible), but we have to deal with other people buying property on gang turf. Realistically, a civlian, police officer, or someone in another gang wouldn't ever buy property on a known gang block. You should value your life and property, and find a residential area that is not occupied by a gang.
On top of paying over half a million for our warehouse, we have to pay for smart locks so that everyone can have keys, and we have to buy everyone garage spots so they can have a place to park their car (without having to run a mile) and sleep.
This isn't just our gang that feels this way, I haven't found a single gang happy with the changes made by D8 and those involved with the changes. As stated by the administrators themselves, the tsunami did not change turf. Let gangs choose where they want their warehouses if the prices are going to be inflated, as well as limit others from buying on our turf.

Some civilians may not even know who you are, or what your turf is. Not every gang should feel entitled to people being "afraid" of them, as that's something you build up over time. Without knowing the turf you're talking about specifically it's hard to say if it's an unfair change or not.

If you don't want people on your turf speak to the person who buys the property. Since you want to mention realism it's also not realistic to have 60 gangs all across the city claiming areas trying to enforce people can't buy stuff. There's movies & tv shows about cops living in gang areas so idk unless you are a gang banger in real life not sure how you know what's completely realistic.
- Reply: People shouldn't be allowed to buy the property regardless. This should be considered NVL. We haven't had people buy on our block, but they have been buying on other gang blocks and now get mag dumped any time they're seen leaving their warehouse because they never want to just "talk it out." There are definitely no where near 60 gangs, and plenty of places for them to find warehouses outside of gang turf. There is a map of gang turf that should be sent out so civilians and officers can avoid these areas. And you're saying that in movies and tv shows these things happen, it's cause they're not real. I know what's realistic because I've done my research and have had personal experience. Would you ever buy a property on a gang block in real life? The aim of Echo is to provide a realistic experience.
I respect most the responses; HOWEVER, I've done gang research to. I can assure you it is not NVL to live in gang areas, here is a real gang map. You think regular people don't live here?

We already said the map will be worked on, it's not the highest priority & it has zero to do with gangs.
- Reply: It should be a higher priority, as many people, groups, and gangs, are soley grinding to buy property. I never said it has to do with gangs, but for me it is very much a gang issue as we are trying to buy property on gang turf.
Reply I have basic D8 functions that benefit the whole community more to complete while also wanting to roleplay myself and focus on my irl jobs. The map is being worked on, please don't demand it to be done faster.
D8 didn't choose the prices, we had minor input, and people are dealing with it just fine, over 100 properties have already been sold.
- Reply: The people who decided the prices should have consulted more of the community. 100 properties that I doubt have been anything larger than a small warehouse/southside house (according to another D8).
Reply, simply not true, it's been Houses Sold: 71 Warehouses Sold: 61. I track every single sale.

Sorry you think a parking garage should be a warehouse, but we have 100s of warehouses available. Find one, it's really not hard. I am sorry you cannot have the door you may have had before.

You again are not special with garage slots; everyone pays for them.
& no, we will not let you choose to let you place warehouses wherever you want, as we would have people putting them inside of portable toilets.
I think you could have been far more productive not starting off with "we screw people over." and making this some type of attack you call "feedback."

- Reply: Our previous large warehouse looks more like a warehouse than a garage. You couldn't drive anything larger than a Sultan in there. It's wide, not tall. But any area like this should be able to be interchangable.

- Reply: It isn't some random location in the middle of nowhere. It is in the center of our turf where we previously had our main warehouse that even looks like a warehouse.
