Competitive shooting in echo
Echo has by far the WORST environment for any roleplay shooting in any community. 90% of the time when you go down you have 5 people standing over your body calling you a dog shit shooter and your ass at shooting. I don’t understand how it isn’t LQRP, overly toxic ect. Most of us don’t grind arenas 7 hours a day and honestly there’s no room for it anywhere in a roleplay server. Should be against the rules as it’s literally almost going out of character.

PinnedWe hear your issues and posted an announcement in attempt to help with these issues. We're making combat changes that should prevent people shooting all the time as they will have to use their brains. Rule changes are probably going to be made too, nothing major, just providing specifics since people need that.
Punishment guideline changes have been made for the staff team so they'll be harsher with these bans.

Make sure to report these interactions. Anyone commenting on someones shooting after shooting them is totally fail RP honestly.

GP over RP is huge in echo currently, with people like VB running round who is an arena shitter, and then other gangs flying people like cbas, bomaah etc in for gunfights? yeah, the current state is disgusting hence why alot of the playerbase is leaving

ECHO has a major GP>RP problem, especially when it comes to the gangs. Damn near impossible to even talk to someone without them pulling a gun out and shooting 5 seconds later.

Yo add to this getting shot over the dumbest reasons and being told “Southside gangs will be southsiders” makes no sense. We should definitely raise the bar of RP if we are going for a roleplay server and not a content server / glorified 100k or die

as janga said, report when this happens. that honestly sounds like the epitome of gunplay>roleplay because they're judging you based on your ability to shoot instead of getting to know your character and develop a relationship. now i'm not saying people should never shoot, there's always going to be reasons to shoot and sometimes people just have to find out that they fucked around, but gangs should be looking to further roleplay without having to resort to guns. people thing gang rp is at a low right now because there's nothing to do and that more mechanics for gangs will fix it, but honestly it's because there's people with this mindset of being a top shooter and will jump to dissing people, even openly on ic twitter, about losing gunfights and being washed and shit.

Let's avoid calling people out directly for their behaviour, if you have issues with someone's style of RP open a ticket with staff so they can handle it
As for the comments while your down if you feel they are crossing a line you can hold M grab their ID and report it

it is actually crazy the amount of LQRP that occurs in the city lately, people just shooting, not waiting 90mins, there is so much shitters lately. I don't know what is going on with the application team letting everyone through but I feel like there needs to be a better system put in place when it comes to checking applications. Feels like ticket after ticket of reporting shitters who don't know rules and think they own the place. Something needs to be done
