Description:
Adjust balancing to weapons to where they are comparable in damage but in a realistic manner.
Such as headshots dealing direct damage to health and not armor.
Body shots reduce armor before damaging health.
Suggested adjustments:
make weapons of identical calibur (.45, 9mm, 12 gauge, etc) deal the same damage.
However, adjust the rate of fire, magazine capacity, recoil, and reload speed based on the gun.
And take "ammo" types into consideration.
Most civilians use Hollow point rounds for self defense because of the significant damage the do to bare flesh. But these type of rounds have low penetration.
These are obviously just suggested examples but as the announcement said, there is a wanting to lean toward reality.
Starting with realistic magazine sizes and balanced/fair damage to have a fighting chance is a good start.
Let's be honest, if someone can land 2 headshots in a row with a Heavy revolver at the fire rate it has, they've earned it.
Example: .45 weapons:
.45 weapons hit hard, but have shit range, Ballistics, and recoil. Which gives them an advantage at close range over the 9mm.
Reduce Range damage and falloff to all of them, which gives the edge to 9mm at range, as they are a higher velocity round used by more law enforcement for that reason.
Damage: at CLOSE range, 3 headshots, 4 to the body, 4 to break armor.
> 1911: 7 round magazine - Effective and efficient - In the right hands, it can be enough to drop an aggressor. The other illegal variants will prove more effective, but at least you have a chance.
> Heavy Pistol: 12 round magazine, reduced recoil - This is a 1911 also but using the term "Heavy" could imply it's heavier in design (which it does compared to the standard 1911) and the larger magazine size would also increase the weight. Which is why the recoil would be noticeably more controllable and be an advantage over it's predecessor
> SP .45: 16 round magazine, significantly less recoil, higher rate of fire - This is a HIGHLY modified 1911 that is clearly designed for high performance.
9mm weapons:
This caliber is high velocity but does not have as much stopping power.
But grants higher mag capacity, significantly more range, less recoil, and rate controllable semi-auto fire.
Damage up to medium range: 4 headshots, 5 to the body, 4 to break armor
> SNS: 9 round magazine
> Berretta: 15 round magazine, slightly less recoil
> Glock 17: 17 round magazine, good recoil control, faster rate of fire.
> Glock 18: 24 round magazine, SHIT recoil control if fired in full auto (let's be honest here, it's a bullet hose that the average person couldn't handle properly. especially from a vehicle one-handed
