The process of becoming a gang

right now me and my boys are tryna build our reputation within the server and are wanting to become a new street gang thats in the lore of GTA however i believe that we should be able to beef people over colours and call ourselves our gang name etc instead of a group of friends it helps us build a reputation within the server as a new gang etc with this obviously stick to the rules of no claiming turf until whitelist and no using other gang outfits as your own and beefing over it i dont know just an idea🤷🏻‍♂️

if you cant build a reputation as individual in a group of friends first, then why should you be able to build a reputation as a gang?

The point of the process is to prevent people from joining the server and causing issues. It's to elevate the level of roleplay for gangs because before any random person could wake up and decide to create a gang that day. It created a lot of issues and low quality roleplay. You can get a reputation without beefing over colors or having a name. You only have to be in the server for 14 days before applying which is cut in half from where it was.

The systems that are currently in place for becoming a full fledged gang on the server are very needed IMO

Gangs just don’t appear over night, there are plenty of heist crews and even some racing crews that aren’t gangs but have a huge reputation in this city, and into becoming a gang that’s the time for you to build up who you are and you can make a “name” for yourselves as individuals and then when you become a gang people will know you

One of your first statements was about beefing and thats exactly what’s being avoided with this long process of becoming a gang so new “gangs” aren’t just popping up and beefing everyone then the city turns into the newest map of warzone

Personally I think you need to spend some more time around the city and find out the climate of the actual whitelisted gangs because a lot of them provide some great RP that isn’t what you are referring to in your original message

No. It's how it is for a reason.

That makes no sense, if you aren’t a gang you shouldn’t be able to hold down a color or beef over a color. I will say gang apps take such a long time to look at but that’s because it’s to VET. The players and gang before allowing a ton of LQRP in the server.

"no claiming turf until whitelist and no using other gang outfits as your own and beefing over it i dont know just an idea"

If their gang colour is what you want to rep you'll have to war them so you need to wait to be official. The rules are the way they are to prevent shitters from coming in and trying to use gang rules to get away with stuff.

I personally don't see an issue with you wanting to say "Hey we are X, up and coming" I also get wanting to have something that allows you to be recognised as a member of said up and coming group

Trying to find a fair ground for those who aren't there to be a gang of shitters but also have it make sense

"beef people over colours and call ourselves our gang name etc"

If your first thought is wanting to beef over colours you are going to have a very bad time within Echo, I'd suggest getting yourself familiar with how the gang scene is on Echo.

I get wanting to rep the colour you want but what right do you have to beef over a colour that other groups have earnt to right to call there's when you suddenly decide you want to be a gang
