Prison Jobs
Implement some sort of cooldown or limit how many times a short-term inmate can do a job in Bolingbroke.
Since jobs that lower time were implemented in the prison, RP has been severely decreased between inmates and COs. The vast majority of short-term inmates will spend their entire sentence silently doing dishes.
This leaves COs with nothing to do but watch inmates do dishes for an hour plus. It becomes extremely discouraging and results in COs not wanting to come on duty, as it has become literally a babysitting job with zero RP.

I've played in servers where DOC have the ability to knock off like 5 minutes off their sentence with a slash command. Encouraged people to provide good RP and interactions with them to get some times off. Of course on the opposite end, you'd have people begging for that time off without giving anything quality as well.

I agree with this, I feel like there needs to be more RP in the prison overall and the jobs do in many aspects take away from that. I will say that I can completely understand that it may be hard to make or find RP in the prison, but I will also say that it just requires you to be a little creative. Because as DOC we love RPing with our long and short term inmates. And many of them while working these jobs do still roleplay or strike up conversation. But overall a large majority of people coming in run immediately to clock in without a single word, and then run immediately to the kitchen, electrical boxes, or the garden and remain their for the next however long. I understand the want to work off your time and get out of the prison completely, nobody wants to be in prison, but at the same time sitting quietly and doing nothing but work off your time for a set amount of time kills the RP for DOC and other inmates wanting to tell stories in the prison.
Ideas to work around this could include the following:
Have a limited amount of months you can work off, and either cutting off the ability to work them off for the rest of the storm, or having a set timer cooldown that clocks you out of the job for a certain time and hopefully encouraging RP
Someone else already suggested not having the ability to work off time while DOC are clocked in or over a certain amount are clocked in, and then bringing it back once DOC are clocked out, or there isn't a certain amount of DOC in the prison.
Cons of the above suggestions:
For my initial suggested I can see people just either going AFK until their sentence ends or until they clock in again, but that can be very hard to combat.
And for the second I can see that system being easily abused by people who have long sentences just waiting until DOC are gone to work their time off. I can also see people abusing that system to see if DOC aren't around so they can do certain activities like smuggling.
Overall I think the ability to work off time shouldn't be entirely removed, but heavily monitored.

I think when DOC are clocked in, people should not get time reductions for jobs. I can understand them for when there is no one around but when there are people to RP with, there isn't really a need for them.
