Pets sitting in cars

Is it possible to have all the pets sit while in the car? So far, it seems like only dogs sit when sitting in the car while other animals like cats and rabbit do not. I know cats have a laying down animation, which I think could be used while sitting in the car, and rabbits don't have an animation.
