Losing hotel room key

on september 10th i got a hotel rom shortly after the 6pm storm. when i woke up on the 11th the key was gone and i cant access the room anymore. Tried getting my stuff that i put in the storage back from the front desk, but nothing. the money for the room was still taked from my bank.
