Harnesses installed in vehicles
Ideally, I believe harnesses should be a type of permanent installation on a vehicle (whether it be a car, truck, golf cart, etc.) for a fee at a shop. It could be used instead of a seatbelt if it is installed and remains on the car as an "upgrade", unless the owner wants it removed, etc. I think the current harnesses could stay as a temporary option, but I believe that permanent harnesses on vehicles can benefit the Quality Of Life for all kinds of RP, whether it be PD, EMS, racers, offroad entrepreneurs, or just your everyday driver. I do believe if the option was available, that many would get one installed on their vehicle permanently, as well as temporarily still.

From a mechanic perspective, not really keen on the idea.
It’s something unique to CNC, and for the price, not bad. 3 uses. Gets return business.
I don’t think we’d care to see it be a permanent option or upgrade just for a few extra bucks once.

I agree to a certain extent. Yes, it is a unique part of one of the mechanic shops in the city. But, it seems like a good QOL addition to have a permanent vehicle harness. There are downsides to the temporary harnesses now as well.
The fact that they unequip themselves when the vehicle is stored in a garage, as many times we have to store the car in a garage for various reasons (cosmetics, upgrades, weird deformations, etc.), poses a pretty significant downside when it only has three uses.
I don’t believe that the idea of a harness should be removed from a specific shop (in this case CnC), but I think the usage and functionality should be different. A one-time installation, where the harness would pose as an internal part in one way or another would be the best addition, in my opinion of course.
