Gang app adding different ranks to the same column

Gang app not working properly

step 1. add gang member with current rank

step 2.gang member added but is tied with a different rank

Expect behavior add member to their rank in their own rank column

Actual behavior add member to their rank and they get added to leader rank

this is a screen shot below of a hippie being added to high chief column
