Drug Trafficking Drugs still in vehicle for PD after they been dropped off

Yesterday around 8pm EST there was a DT that occurred where the car with the drugs was able to lose the cops and drop off the drugs. The person in the drug car then came back to scene and officers would search the car/unpack the drugs finding 5 boxes of drugs.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the new way the drugs are taken out of the vehicle for cops. Would be nice though if cops are not able to find anything after unpacking if the drugs have already been dropped off.
