Custom Liveries

At this current moment, custom liveries are a free for all. What I mean is anyone can go to any shop in the server and get any livery applied to their car, custom or not. As someone who owns one of these liveries, you’d then need to go to the mechanic shops and request that they don’t apply said liveries to cars unless its yours/ someone whom you’ve given permission to. For some reason though, Echo has rules for to this situation, but it pertains to gang clothing, etc.

“You may not use gang specific clothing, flags, or liveries that you would not realistically be able to acquire unless they have been obtained through roleplay.”

How is it that someone is able to “obtain” a custom livery that isn’t for them? After all, the liveries aren’t cheap, and the person acquiring the livery is the one designing it (or having it designed) for themselves, so why is it left out.

Just an example of what I mean:
Every No Sanity Garage livery that exists in Echo, Every VCB livery that exists in Echo. Both these livery designs are for a racing crew/s within the racing scene. They represent the crew/s seeing as we don’t have clothing, flags, sprays, and aren’t allowed to “claim turf” or be “recognized” by the city. On top of all of that, we’re the ones laying the money out to have the liveries brought into the server, and everyone else just uses it at our expense.

You simply can’t. Because it’s not an Echo RP rule, the most someone can do is ask for them to take it off, which results in a shootout because ego gunplay. Having no ground to stand on either when it gets confrontation is awkward because 10/10, its some gang-banger that truly doesn’t care and won’t change anything because again, it isn’t something that’s required or enforced.

All that’s being asked is that a rule be implemented to protect all these liveries. Its a QOL thing, as well from a realistic standpoint. Nobody should have to chase around the server to find someone using their livery that they paid for.
