Suggestions for Changes to the Heist System

I think a bidding system, similar to VIN scratching, could be implemented to heist jobs such as Fleeca, Paleto & Pac Standard. There would be a listing for each of the banks on a laptop based app and people would be able to bid on them. Once you own the contract it can be queued for and would be retained until completed (again similar to VIN scratching). Contracts could be purchased with EVC.

Reasoning

• Less rushing more planning - The way heists are set-up in city at the moment make things rushed. There is little time to do proper scoping out of banks (you don’t even know what bank you are doing until you get the ping on your phone). This also impacts boosting, the higher tier boosts should require a solid plan but you have 15 minutes to get to the car. I would want to know the bank I am doing in advance and spend some real time going there and casing the joint

• Less FOMO - When you fly in for 3 or 4 hours of an evening you don’t want to sit in the queue for a bank for all of those hours and not get anything. What that leads to is multi-queuing, so you may sit in the boosting queue at the same time, again this links to point one about not being able to plan. We have other things going on that are non heisty but they are generally dependant on other groups being around so not always on the cards. As a criminal you can fall back to the simpler things like chopping (if it is active) and pushing some drugs but that is fairly limiting.

• Use for EVC - Currently there are one or two uses for EVC but it could be better. If people needed more to bid for job contracts it would make the crypto heist more important. It could also create more p2p trading for the EVC

• Simpler queuing - Anyone who owns a contract can jump in the queue, display how many are currently in it (again similar to boosting…..the boosting system works well)
