Change To Mech Shops

It’s too cheap to fix your car in this city. Minimum prices on Body Repairs need to be raised.

If I go to CnC Main to fix a rattle in my car, I am only going to get charged $100. If I go to buy a Hawaiian Pizza at Louis, it’ll cost me $150. Fixing cars should not cost less than buying a pizza. I think the minimum price for a body repair at all Mech Shops should be $500.

this i can agree on, but i think maybe there should be a way to scale it with the quality of the car. i shouldn't be able to bang up a panto and a rh7 and have it cost the same. the rh7 should cost more because it's an import as well as being a higher class car. makes it feel more realistic. and if you can afford the higher class cars, you should have an income that can support a slightly higher bill. nothing crazy like in the thousands as a minimum, but like 500 min for s class and knock it down 100 as you go down the tiers feels pretty solid.

Also people buy memberships to lower the cost of repairs / items. If you don’t have a membership then you will be paying more then said “food”.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. As far as im aware all the mech shops agreed on prices for utilities like lockpicks repair kits etc.

Each Mech shop bases their prices for repairs and internals off of cost vs profit. Some shops charge more than others for a reason. There has to be competition in it. Same goes for restaurants and prices for food and drink. Its based off the cost it takes to Make it (pull it from the shop) vs how much profit after paying out commissions and paychecks paying out.

Forcing mech shops to raise their prices from an OOC standpoint ain't the answer and really should be something maybe more brought up in character.
