Replace our current colour selectors with a less restrictive system, which besides a colour wheel also allows colour hex input.
Currently, our vehicle painting system is, while adequate, also limited to which colours can be used as primary and secondary paint. While also being incredibly constrained on colour options for other parts (Wheels, dashboards, neons, headlights). This system, while it does allow some uniqueness, does also bring a lot of repetition. And quite often a lot of frustration from the mechanic that is customizing a vehicle.
What I propose is an expanded system, where we amend our current colour selector system with an option to toggle a colour wheel, a toggleable option to automatically match the secondary colour to the primary colour, and a colour hex input. This will allow more nuance and expression for players' vehicles, while also keeping a system that works (if it ain't broke don't fix it). With the same system also available for all other paintable parts (wheels, dashboards, neons, headlights).
Another option that is missing from our current system is chameleon paints, while those aren't as customizable as other paint types, it would be nice to finally have those included and available.
I'm including a link to a portion of a video that I feel showcases the benefits of a system like this very well, and also shows what can be done.
Thank you for reading my ted talk.
