Weed change
Weed on the server at the moment truly has zero roleplay behind it. The system as of now is buy weed seeds from thc, plant in your warehouse, water every twelve hours, done. The reputation system feels outdated and uninteresting as it really feels like there is nothing to work towards. To be blunt, MMO aspects of a roleplay server retain player base and offer longer storylines to people in roleplay. There is the argument that weed should be a “starter” drug however, I believe with these changes it can still remain a starter drug but also have an end game goal for people who really want to grind it out. Here is a list of changes I’d like to propose:
Proposed Changes:
- Players will be able to create their own strains of weed that as they are sold on the streets the reputation of that strain will increase in the area that it is sold, and reputation will decrease slowly as days or weeks go by and it hasn’t been sold.
- The rep total of the strain will increase as more players other than the owner of the strain sells the weed around other areas of the city. I feel like this change could create a lot more roleplay in the weed selling scene for people, especially people who are wanting to create new gangs.
- As you hit higher tiers of overall rep of the strain the base value of the weed will increase coaxing players in roleplaying around a few strains rather than everyone making their own strains and grinding from the beginning.
- The end game goal for players with a high tier weed strain would be on the laptop after you hit either the last tier or second to last tier. In the app for your strain you would be able to rent a grow house to provide a few different things: a higher yield, faster grows, help growing from npcs, or maybe higher storage. There would be a few caveats of having this weed grow house: it would have to be kept low key from police or you risk being raided and having the reputation of your strain tanked, if this was to happen you would lose access to the grow house and the roleplay behind losing it and losing rep would be that the “boss” would lose trust in you.
- Lastly, the final tier in the reputation could be that you gain so much trust from the “boss” that he gives you jobs to go out and rob another players grow house that has been slow on selling stock or not staying engaged with the business. This job would not happen very often, but I feel as though it could create some exciting conflict roleplay between gangs and friend groups that isn’t a war context.
