some TLC for gangs
Just thinking of some cool ways we can give gangs more of a stake in the server. Right now a lot of them don’t feel valued and feeling like everything is getting super stale.
At this point some gangs have been around for 2 years most 1. It’s absolutely crazy they have to pay 80 dollars for liveries in the server. They’ve obviously showed the server they are commited to playing and would be a great addition to helping cement them in the server.
A more depth turf system where gangs can attack and defend. To expand turf and control larger portions of the city.
Rework thermite and other job materials to be locked behind gangs. now hold on before you go crazy at the idea most servers gangs have benches and the economy runs fine. Echo gangs just have access to buying guns that are bought out of thin air. There is NO material economy aside from mechanic shops. Change thermite so gangs can make it and you’ll see a booming economy to buy the mats and the RP interaction between would increase 10 fold. I honestly think the same should be done with guns instead of gangs “Buying” guns they should just be able to craft the same amount they’d get from the gun plug. It would make legal civs have more of a stake in the city as they can sell the materials to make these.
It would also be nice to see gangs get some unique stuff to themselves like triads oolong tea and the laptops more. I get they have to show substantial RP towards it but rn everyone is doing meth and fleecas as the main way and all of them want to be centralized around it because there isn’t enough to do.

Would love to see some diversity in the gangs. Right now it feels like we all can only offer the same thing.

Honestly all valid points. When I was in a gang all it was getting pressed for money and buying guns. The benefits aren’t really there to justify sticking it out in echo. Hence why we have the WORST turn over for gangs I’ve ever seen in ANY server. It’s bad
People don’t want to stay when they are forced into the same loop. Gangs and crims want progression back we have people opening 20+ keys and getting nothing. It’s not fun
You get guns and at this point everyone gets guns so you can’t provide anything unique.
You can war but it’s not all about war and we have ZERO reasons to war each other.

Bin saying this shit for a year now but thy don’t listen.
So many gangs just leave bc it’s stale and boring if thy don’t wanne change the buying guns thing thy should atleast make it so a crate drops somewhere random on the map like airport any dock mountain’s it makes it more realistic then some randoms come and drop of your gun.

As long as the unique items aren’t completely gatekeeping behind out of certain things I think it would be neat.

As a none gang member yes i agree gangs could use some "love" or " TLC " but at the same time, remove the gatekept bullshit like blackmarket passwords. It turns into a "im social ur not" or "im in a gang ur not" and fucks anyone trying to do criminal activities without being tied down by gang life. (this is coming from someone who has been in the server for a year+)

I mean, I get want the OP is saying. Some people don’t want to be tied to a gang to crime. Some people just like doing things solo/with a bunch of different groups.
They’re not saying they don’t want to not be social.
My opinion: Most gangs don’t want people in for some reason or another almost like they refuse to talk to anyone. So it’s like a version of gatekeeping. But that’s just what I’ve seen from an outsider perspective. It would be cool if gangs were always trying to prospect people that seem cool is what I’m trying to say and I haven’t seen that. But I could be wrong.
