Rework prison ankle bracelet mechanic
Suggestion:
Rework prison ankle bracelet to act similar way to boost trackers. If an inmate escapes prison:
1. Pause their sentence time - while outside of prison
2. Activate tracker - while online & outside of prison
3. Send similar tracker ping to boosts. Maybe cuffs icon?
4. Keep the existing mechanic where tracker can be "removed" by DOC/cops.
Reason:
I understand why we have the current system, but it's a bit weird when they just teleport back into prison.
Not everyone knows about this teleport back either, which then leads to very awkward RP situation processing this person that just got teleported back in after breaking out.
If we reworked it to something like a boost ping tracker, then this person can be hunted down instead, making the scenario WAAAY less awkward.

Prison is a maximum security place that shouldn't be easy to break out of and people already don't act seriously. They fly helicopters in to bring contraband and attempt to break out, failing to RP it seriously. I don't agree that it should be made easier at all. As much as it can be immersion breaking a bit to handle the mechanics, true and fair RPers can handle it responsibly and get past it.

I do like the idea as I agree, being teleported back in is immersion breaking. But the biggest issue I see is it being abused blurring low numbers hours when there not a lot of PD around making it essentially an easy out. Could be a way for crims to hack the ankle bracelet to remove it after a certain amount of time and a difficult hack and if they fail, the tracker becomes even more precise with a faster update time for each failed hack; could even remove the possibility of hacking it after a certain amount of attempts

I’m kinda 50/50 on this idea. While in theory it’s smart and more realistic, we already have a major problem with people only smuggling contraband in when there’s no DOC. What’s to stop people from waiting until there’s no DOC or PD around to break out?
Can’t track an escaped inmate if no one is around to witness the escape.
