Police Roleplay needs some love.

I truly believe it's time for the police to get some love. The police department is working with scripts that haven't been updated in a while and scripts that are broken. The police department is one of the most important factors on the server, just like the criminals. I've heard that there is a big criminal update coming, so I think with that update there should also be a big police update. Police role play deserves some love with this update.

Currently, the evidence system is extremely basic and outdated, which makes processing scenes as well as investigating crimes unforgiving, time-consuming, and difficult. I was recently exploring some different scripts, and I came across the script (in a video) where, when you place the evidence into an Evidence Locker, it will automatically link with the MDT Evidence Locker number. It doesn't matter what type of evidence it is; it will automatically list whatever weapon it is, whether it's a casing or blood. This system would be very nice, as it is very time-consuming and takes away from role play to have to take evidence that you find in character, take it to a scanner, scan it, and then place it manually into a report. Why can't we just simplify this and have everything automatically linked with the instant report when placed into the evidence?

Another thing I would like to point out is that some scripts are broken and have not been given any attention. For example, one of the most recent and only updates (besides the MDT) given to the police department is the handheld speed radar, and that's been broken for quite some time.

PD refreshments. To bring some more morale and change things up a bit, as it's been quite some time, I think it would be very interesting to change up the police department deliveries and maybe do a little refresher on the police department uniforms. Maybe even consider adding a couple more cars to the police department fleet, as we currently do not utilize all the police department vehicles that exist. While this may not seem important, I can guarantee you that it is going to boost morale for certain police officers. Just like certain cops enjoy new crimes, other cops enjoy new aspects, such as physical items like police cars and uniforms.

The raid system. To put it simply, it needs some work. If people want no knocks, I think there are ways around doing less knocks, but I still think they should exist. I think it's important that some type of script is eventually implemented to lock down a property to avoid items preemptively being moved out of the location. This server specifically struggles with the Department of Justice, and it is not easy to get a judge to sign a warrant within an hour or less. The Department of Justice argues exigent circumstances are not applicable even when a search warrant cannot easily be obtained, which is not fair as in real life I can just fax a warrant to a judge and have it immediately signed. If the Department of Justice cannot keep judges readily available, there should be some type of property lockdown system to prevent abuse of the system and character, as people do not roleplay that a property has been locked down through emotes. This is a long-overdue system that is seen in many other places.

State impounds need to return at some point soon. I was a bit shocked to see or hear how many people are using personal vehicles and committing crimes because there are no repercussions to this system. They don't even go to the lengths to use fake plates; they're just straight up using their cars.

Spy cameras are broken and haven't been fixed. This is again a tool that was used but can no longer be used. This tool was helping PD in many investigations.

Lastly, I understand that this may get some hate. This is not intended to be any digs at anybody; this is simply providing feedback, which is the point of the system where I think that areas need to be improved to make the server even better than what it is. Police feedback feels a bit neglected, so I am hoping we can bring a change to this. I am posting this anonymously as I don't want any retaliation, but I do care for the server.
