Introduce changes that would overhaul Interior Design a second time, this time focused on technical changes:
Disable sunlight/ambient sounds, have it not penetrate the walls of interiors in houses
Prevent locals from spawning in the chairs
Allow custom profiles in the furniture UI menu, with selected pieces, for themes and organization
Fix irregular/inconsistent geometry, some rooms in mansions and particular interiors are not aligned on the same axis as the rest of the home. Meaning a 45-degree angle does not look the same.
Allow us to duplicate furniture pieces with the same values, for repetitive tasks, walls, and floors come to mind
Fix the UI-associated bugs (if you want a report I can but I don't know how to reproduce) where it seems ghost keys cause it to go unresponsive (sometimes if you fat finger while typing in values for the rotation/angle)
Fix the "popping" issue where furniture wants to disappear entirely based on the angle, which varies pretty wildly in severity
Disable debris from the city floating into homes, some locations are permanently cursed with floaty particles and nothing can be done about it usually
Reason:
This would benefit anyone who purchases a home, sells a home, renovates homes, or has anything to do with in-game player housing. It would benefit the actual CPU and RAM of the server as I would not use bootleg methods to patch up nastiness. It would be a very lovely highlight of Echo to know the homes are a true premium and immersive experience. It's awful the number of terms and wordplay used to talk about how buggy and quirky aspects of housing are, IC. Actually addressing them is far worse, it means wasting money and CPU resources on random wall pieces.
Additional context:
A detailed and precise version of this post can be found here
The start of every project I do is a 1-3 hour prep where I manually place wall pieces to block the sun out and adjust the height value until you don't hear cars but quiet, eerie wind instead. If I did not experience real hours navigating around these issues, I would not persistently suggest they be fixed. If I'm even told, "Impossible due to the gta client itself" I will happily give it a rest. The other issues are just as relevant but I'll spare typing a bible for tonight, I linked one anyways.
