I feel at the moment the drug scene is very bland and just not enjoyable. This is due to the fact it only takes one person to do everything apart from the drug runs. (which is a ridiculous fine and is not worth the risk for reward in my opinion). For example, to cook meth you need to get these materials that allow you to cook it and it's literally just have the materials on you and click on it. On top of this, taking the time to gain the materials and buying the rest of the materials sets you back in time as well as money.
As of right now, (based on 10 bags of meth mathematics), meth is costing around $750~ making $1400 off of 10 bags. This means you are making the equivalent of two garbage runs in profit in the time it takes to make meth. Surely there should be more of an incentive?
Buying coke is even more bland, as you can get it from someone with notes you can only really get at chopping, and other activities. I feel as if it didn't really take a lot of effort when being made. Drugs are one of the most important criminal activities usually involving a group of people. Allowing it to be done by yourself completely destroys any chance of RP/GroupRP. However, I have heard that there is an update coming for drugs, this is why I’m making this suggestion.
Finally, the incentive I am talking about can not only mean money. I am implying that there be more of an RP scenario around the creation and crafting of drugs, for example,
Drugs are made in a system for cooking/making drugs that involve 4-5 people in a lab that is set around the map. Then having 1-5 guys have to cook it. So checking temps on the machine, and adding ingredients make it like ‘Plate-Up’ or other cooking games that involve stress and timekeeping. I think that would be a lot of fun. Imagine running around a lab stressing what you have to keep on top of whilst cooking, arguing with your group to get it done, things like this add to RP. Also will add to gang RP as gangs will want to keep control of locations. Just an idea though, I'm sure you can take this suggestion and alter the idea. The same goes for meth in cooking.
Border Force? I know it's a bit of a stretch in terms of making this force. But I speak to a lot of people OOC/IC about being a part of a government force. However, I know the wait times are insane for joining the police due to the high numbers of people applying. So making a Border force whose main focus is on suspicion of drug running/ manning checkpoints around the map would be a fun idea and a good way to become part of a force whilst waiting for PD Application. So the border force's main focus is checkpoints. If this was the case you could make it so that vehicles could have a secret compartment where you can hide drugs. Which you need to craft to add on to certain vehicles. I know this suggestion is a stretch but I was just spit-balling.
Also from doing drugs, I feel like there should be an ability to get weapons from doing deals with locals. So with drug running you can sell to locals at the end of the run, which allows you to build a reputation with them. Giving them respect for doing this high-risk job will give you weapons to further your Group/Cartel/Gang or even other opportunities like making more drugs that are more payout or some type of progression system to give the incentive of doing this.
Another idea a friend of mine had was you have a minivan/RV in which you cook meth, smoke bellows from the top when cooking. Locals can call in suspicious activity, increasing the risk for players. On top of this, you can mess up the batch and need to escape the van before it explodes, again calling the cops and losing your materials completely. This will open an opportunity for skilled cooks to provide meth to the streets and even gangs. Temperature gauges will need to be watched and you’ll have to put each ingredient in a certain order, which will mean there is somewhat of a trial and error involved.
